Sustaining the Pause

As we move into our 13th year, we continue in our conviction that “pausing” is the most important spiritual practice we learn and live. As we pause, we deepen our awareness and attentiveness to God. As we pause, it opens space for a response that is led by the Holy Spirit. As we pause, we see people as they are in God’s eyes. As we pause, we are able to let go of distractions and simply be present. As we offer retreats, spiritual direction, contemplative prayer gatherings and other spaces, our prayer is to deepen our ability to pause.

Our heart as the SFSAZ is to practice the pause … a pause in which we move from being hooked by anything and everything to a contemplative gaze upon God. As we look at God (not just think about Him), our hearts and minds are shaped to see Him and others in love.

Year End Financial Need

What will this funding do?

We’re almost there!

If we raise beyond our need the additional finances will allow us to start the year in a strong financial space!

As we move into 2026, we desire to offer more spaces of rest and renewal (individual Renew Retreats, Soul Care Days, contemplative prayer gatherings, etc.), tell good stories about what practicing the pause looks like in our lives, and be ready for growth. We are convinced that God brings growth and transformation and our responsibility is to be ready for it. Will you help us be ready as we continue to respond to those who come to us for partnership?

We are praying that we see more financial partners join us in the mission.

Monthly gifts are the most helpful as we budget and plan for the year.

  • For $50/month, you can provide a scholarship for a pastor or missionary on sabbatical who desires an individual Renew Retreat.
  • For $100/month, you can provide soul care for pastors/leaders as an outreach to those on the front lines of ministry.

One time gifts help us as we reach year end and desire to finish the year balanced.
