Group Spiritual Direction
What draws people to the group is a reciprocity of desire, Spirit’s desire and their desire. Having been touched by this desire, they want to make their deep desire for the Holy the determining factor of all of their choices, and they recognize that they need some help to do this. This shared desire gives the group its coherence as well as a shared commitment to be there for one another in that desire. The group’s primary task is to make the shared desire explicit and to hold one another in it.
The Group Spiritual Direction process provides the container for this soul-filled work.

What is Group Direction?
Group Spiritual Direction is a reciprocal space where individuals come together on a regular basis to listen and walk with one another on their spiritual journeys. This space is formed to invite deep sharing and listening with like-minded people. Participants commit to the following:
- honesty with God, themselves and others
- participate wholeheartedly in the group through prayerful listening and response
- be vulnerable and open in your spiritual journey
What to Expect
Each group will be composed of 5 individuals – 4 participants and a trained spiritual director.
The group will meet monthly from September 2026-May 2027 on an agreed upon day for 90 minutes online.
Each gathering will include a rhythm of prayerful silence and meditation, personal sharing by participants, followed by prayerful responses to what each participant shares. It is our hope that you will experience a welcoming community where you feel heard as you share your life with others. It is our prayer that you will journey together deeper into an awareness of God’s Spirit at work in your own life as you witness God’s presence in the lives of others in your group.
Cost
$35/month for 9 months or $300 up front
