Psalm 116:1-2

1 I love the Lord because he hears my voice
and my prayer for mercy.
2 Because he bends down to listen,
I will pray as long as I have breath!

Reflection

Today we invite you to slow down and notice your breath. This breath that sustains your body.

Using the instructions below take a few minutes to breathe and pray.

1. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and release it slowly.
2. Like the blind man on the road to Jericho, Jesus kindly looks you in the eyes and asks, “what do you want from me?”

3. Select the name that you are most comfortable using to speak to God and combine it with your answer. This is your prayer.
4. Inhale as you speak God’s name and exhale the word or phrase to express your request or need.
5. Repeat the prayer as you breathe in and out.
6. Rest in God’s presence.
