Psalm 100
1-2 On your feet now—applaud God!
Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.
4 Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
5 For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
Reflection
Take a few deep breaths and quiet your body and mind. Read through the text slowly, pause at the end of each section. Read it through a second time. Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention? Maybe an image comes to mind. Read it through again. Again, notice what you’re drawn to. Spend at least two minutes wondering or contemplating what has arisen – perhaps take a moment to write it out in a journal. Notice what comes up with God. Hold all this as a prayer in gratitude.
