Reflection 9-25-25
Psalm 62:5 First Nations Version
In my inward being, I remain silent, waiting only on One Who Hears. I will put all my trust in him.
“Silence will illuminate you in God… and deliver you from phantoms of ignorance. Silence will unite you to God…. In the beginning we have to force ourselves to be silent. But then from our very silence is born something that draws us into deeper silence. May God give you an experience of this ‘something’ that is born of silence” ― Isaac of Ninevah
Reflection
Today we invite you to become quiet. Take a few nice deep breaths – inhaling slowly – exhaling longer. As your body and thoughts begin to settle read Psalm 62:5 a few times. Then read the quote from Isaac of Ninevah. What do you sense in silence with God? Is there an invitation in the silence for you today? Is there a thought or a question that has come up? Whatever it is that is being “born of silence”, spend time with God and close in gratitude for the space in silence today.
